Echo Bay

Shut your eyes
Listen close
To the sound of the waves
And the wind's every note.
Open your eyes
And observe
Fluttering leaves
And colourful birds.
The night's breeze calls
To come and play,
Run in the dewy grass
Of Echo Bay!
Water flows freely
Like liquid glass
In which fish live
With the current so fast.
On the horizon
Majestic trees grow
The sun sets and rises
Ever so slow.
The morning's sunrise
Or the evening's sunset,
The sky painted with colours
I shall never forget.
A serene oasis
Where animals play
In their sanctuary
Of Echo Bay.
Collecting shells at dawn
Hearing bullfrogs at dusk,
Where culture is rich
And the beauty is lush.
Where poets and dreamers
Always find their way
In the peaceful tranquility
Of Echo Bay.
Where even insects
Have a home,
And no one creature
Is left alone.
Where memories are plenty
And trees grow strong
Where adventures are plenty
And adventures are long.
I love this place
And I always may;
I can hear the history
Of Echo Bay!
